Blacked-Tailed Prairie Dog: Cynomys ludovicianus

The Prairie dog is commonly found in North Dakota and this animal is at the zoo because it to suffers from a degrading habitat and the sooner zookeepers help these kind of animals out the better the future is for animals like the Prairie dog.  Oh, and don't be fooled by the name, this is no dog and it is closely related to a ground squirrel.
