              Asian Elephant

OUR SPECIALTY SPECIES THIS YEAR, THE ASIAN ELEPHANT, IS THE ONLY SPECIES IN GENUS!

Did you know that if an elephant lives long enough to have used up all of its teeth it then starves to death!                                                     

                                   Giant Panda

                                                                                                                                       Giant pandas can spend 10-12 hours a

                                                                                                                                                              day feeding!

                                Wild Yak

                  (Bos grunniens)                                                        

Get this, male yaks weigh up to 1000kg,

that's 2,200lbs.!                                                                          

    The veterinarian job in the National Park is to choose species that are easy to maintain with respect to their long-term psychological and physical welfare. The species that were selective were the Giant Panda, the Asian Elephant, and the Wild Yak. These species that are in the national park have been chosen for different reasons; some of the reasons are that they are endangered species and here at the National Park they are been conserve. There are research been done in order to increase scientific knowledge on the reproduction of the Giant Panda to help increase the population of the specie.
