Purpose

Our position as the Wildlife Center Director requires that we keep the Wildlife Center financially stable and push for species that attract large crowds. Our objective is to be in agreement with each advisory committee on which animals would be beneficial to the center. In addition, we aim to support the conservation of populations of endangered species and natural ecosystems, promote research to increase scientific knowledge that will help benefit conservation, and increase education efforts to promote public and political awareness of the necessity for conservation of natural resources.

Our advisory committee has already initiated negotiations to bring a baby giraffe from South Africa to the zoo. We are also pushing for a giant panda and penguin exhibit. The introduction of these animals may be costly, but well worth it. Unfortunately, the costs of establishing a penguin habitat are too expensive at this time, therefore, we would like to introduce the prairie dog, stick insect, European domestic honeybee, poison dart frog, black rhinoceros, tiger, and Chinese praying mantis to the Wildlife Center.
