Of the six wetlands, only populations one and three of the Orchis isozymus and populations one and three of the Orchis polyzymus will be conserved.
Probable Cause
The four populations chosen for conservation have the least amount of genetic variance within its respective species. Population data listed indicates that populations 1 and 3 of the Orchis isozymus and populations 1 and 3 of Orchis polyzymus have the least genetic variance. Populations with the least amount of genetic variance are least likely than populations with greater genetic variance to evolve into different species.
