Giant African Snails can grow up to 6-8 inches long!

Due to the torsional development, a snail excretes waste near the top of it's head.

Some species of snails have been reported as having a life expectancy of 10 years.

Snails, because they are hermaphroditic, can reproduce asexually (although it is usually declined).

Because of their powerful yet sensitive foot, and the mucous trail they leave to glide across surfaces with reduced friction, can actually pass over a razor blade without being cut!
